Qualifications & Memberships

I am a Practitioner Psychologist with HCPC registration (PYL30956). I completed my Doctorate in Child, Community and Educational Psychology at the Tavistock Clinic, affiliated by University of Essex (July 2014).

I am a certified Group Work Practitioner having completed a Diploma in Group Analysis at the Institute of Group Analysis, London.

I have also completed additional therapeutic trainings to support individuals, parents/families as well as their wider networks. For example, Systemic and Narrative approaches, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Compassion Focused Therapy.

I also hold Qualified Teacher Status having taught in schools in London and Liverpool in my earlier career.

Personal Statement

I am a Practitioner Psychologist who specialises in working with adolescents and young adults. I have many years’ experience working across education, health, social care and charity sectors. I am also employed as a Senior Psychologist within an NHS mental health service.

I have had the privilege to work with, and learn from people from a wide variety of backgrounds. I believe our past experiences and social context holds great relevance to our sense of identity and experiences in the world.

Young People who have worked with me often remark that I create a safe and non-judgmental space where they have felt heard. I work collaboratively with each person at a pace and depth that feels psychologically safe but sufficiently challenging to make progress. I aim to support young people explore their current difficulties, past experiences as well as strengths, hopes and dreams in a bid to help make meaning of their distress, enhance coping and empower them to live lives that are authentic and fulfilling.

I am committed to upholding confidentiality, but I also understand that involving parents/carers, partners, and educators can be important. Therefore, I offer advice, consultation, and training to key people within a person's support network with permission and as required.

Taking the first step to embark on therapy can be intimidating, but finding the right therapist is essential. I offer a complimentary 20-minute consultation to help you or significant others in your life to discuss your needs and consider how I can help.

To find out more about some of the main therapies I offer, please see: Time-Limited Adolescent Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (TAPP) as well as Group Psychotherapy.
